Meet Graeme Boyd
BuildNex is led by Graeme Boyd, a Registered Building Practitioner (BP105837) and qualified carpenter with extensive experience across residential, commercial and mining construction. Over more than two decades, Graeme has held roles spanning on-the-tools carpentry, site supervision, project management, quality assurance, and technical defect investigation.
Graeme’s practical understanding of construction, combined with deep knowledge of the NCC 2022, relevant Australian Standards and accepted construction practice, enables him to provide clear, accurate and evidence-based assessments that stand up to scrutiny.
Today, Graeme works independently through BuildNex, providing high-quality building inspections, workmanship assessments, defect reporting and expert witness services for homeowners, builders, developers, insurers and law firms throughout Western Australia.

- Qualified Carpenter & Joiner.
- 20+ years construction experience across residential, commercial & mining projects.
- Extensive experience in site supervision, QA, project coordination and client liaison.
- Strong understanding of WA construction standards and industry practices.
- Experienced in NCC 2022 interpretation and application.
- Knowledge of key Australian Standards for construction and installation.
- Experienced defect investigator and technical writer.

- Regularly engaged by law firms for expert technical opinions.
